My first pair of panties...

My daughter is on her way to being potty trained and I can't find any little girl panties in the store that will fit her. I bought size 2T/3T, the smallest I could find, and they are too big. She's tiny, so I've known for a while I was going to run into this problem and have thought about making her smaller panties. The other night I went through my stash of fabric and all I could find was plain boring knit (I haven't done much with knit), so the test run was done with boring white knit. I have no idea if they will fit her, but will find out in the morning. Then, off to Joann's to find some cute knit fabric!

Holidays...

The holidays are always hectic in our house. It usually starts in October when I begin making presents for everybody. Every year plan on getting presents done long before Christmas and every year I am working on them right up until Christmas or our family get togethers. I enjoy making the presents, so next year I will once again attempt to get the presents done by the beginning of December. This year everybody came to our house, which is nice in most ways (no travel required), but it is a lot of preparation. I love preparing food, so that isn't a problem, but the never ending cleaning is never fun!! In two weeks I cleaned the house 3 or 4 times. My family came in the weekend before Christmas, then my husband's parents came in Christmas and left the following Sunday. They usually stay a couple days, but wanted to give hubby and me a night out without the kids. The night out was great and it was so nice to get out and not have to worry about the kids. We went to dinner and stopped at a couple stores to look for things. Then we had some friends over New Year's Eve to celebrate the new year. It was a good time, but now hubby heads back to work tomorrow.
